Our story begins in 1951, in the NJ home of Lewis Morrell Robbins. The company started as an Industrial Supplier that focused on the Corrugated Box Manufacturing segment, specializing on lagging services and cotton corrugator belting.

With successes under his “belt”, Mr. Robbins expanded into manufacturing and fabrication of belting. This required additional space that the then Sales HQ in Phila. could not provide. A location in the Emmaus, PA area solved that requirement as well as providing the additional workforce and an increase in the sales team.

Growing his team now presented another challenge in the need for a much larger facility to support the expanding fabrication requirements. A 12,000 sq ft building on Mitchell Ave in Allentown provided the space and the sales office moved from Phila. to Allentown, putting both sales and the shop under one roof.

Looking to retire, Mr. Robbins left the company in the capable hands of Andy Brezak and partners. Poised for growth, a new home for the company was needed yet again and in 1996, the shop and sales office moved to its present location just off Route 309 in Slatington, PA.

Fast forward to today, LMR and BDS joined forces in December 2017 to provide a formidable distribution powerhouse that can provide a full and plentiful line of products and value-added services to our customers. This has allowed us to once again expand our physical footprint with a building expansion. This additional square footage will ensure further customer satisfaction.

Continual improvements and equipment upgrades keep the L.M. Robbins shop on the cutting edge in belt fabrication and well prepared for the next 72 years.
