When handling bulk product on horizontal and incline applications, sidewalls are often used (in conjunction with cleats) to completely contain the product and prevent loss off the sides of the belt and reduces the need to have mechanical skirting installed. These, like cleats, come in a variety of materials, heights, colors and with or without bases. The corrugation allows the sidewall to expand and contract at transition points and to negotiate rollers.

Sidewalls are added to the belt surface by various bonding techniques; (HF) High Frequency welded, Adhesive based heat welded and cold bonded. We have materials available for FDA and non-FDA applications. Typically, the height is even with the cleat or sometimes designed to be taller than. Give us a call to discuss further requirements and we’ll come up with a design that meets your specification!
