Extruded TPU belts are designed for wet applications in various food segments. The material has no exposed carcass and therefore not affected by grease, oils, water and other fluids. This makes cleaning the belts very easy and an obvious choice for washdown environments. In the Low-Tension version, the belt is driven positively by sprockets engaging drive lugs or bars on the underside of the belt. In the Friction-Driven version, the belt is driven by a typical style drive pulley. Both types can be welded endless or supplied with a mechanical lacing. Various textured surfaces are available and most commonly supplied in blue or beige.
