This segment includes the most commonly used material in critical process, packaging and conveyance applications. Many are FDA approved. The belts are very thin yet incredibly strong due to the materials used in the carcass and in the fashion which those materials are woven. Fabric and monofilament, made of polyester, a very strong synthetic material, is the primary strength member. Cotton and nonwovens are also utilized. Lateral stability comes from monofilament, multifilament and multi-woven styles and ranges from cross-rigid to highly flexible.

These plies are then coated with a surface material (cover) that is aimed at satisfying specific characteristics between the belt and various products. The covers include PVC, Urethane, Silicone, Polyolefin and Polyester. These covers come in various colors and thicknesses and also have a wide range of surface textures, from smooth and slick to very grippy and aggressive. There are covers available for just about every application imaginable, and if one doesn’t readily exist, we’ll work to find or design one to meet your requirements.
